The POP-OUT Trial is a study designed to test whether a procedure called manual rotation (turning the baby) can improve the chances of a normal vaginal birth when the baby is in the posterior position or in the transverse position in labour.
The POP-OUT Trial is led by the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney and is being undertaken in several other major hospitals in Australia.
The POP-OUT Trial is funded by the NHMRC.
Recruitment to the POP-OUT Trial is now complete, thanks to contributions from many people. If you would like some more information, you can look at our website, FAQ's, or Email us. Due to data collection and follow-up of participants we anticipate results will be published in 2020.
