So far, about 4280 women have agreed to participate in the POP-OUT Trial.  Of these 142 women with a baby in the transverse position have been randomised, and we are aiming for 416.  The reason that most women are not randomised is that most babies are not in the transverse position in labour and many women have a labour which progresses so well that there is not enough time for randomisation.

It is important to remember that any woman who agrees to be in the POP-OUT Trial can change her mind at any time.
