Occiput posterior position:

The occiput posterior position refers to a position where the baby is looking 'forwards', towards the front of the mother's body.  About ten percent of babies are in this position towards the end of labour when the women is first fully dilated.  An occiput posterior position at this time is associated with a higher chance of an operative delivery (that is, a caesarean section, vacuum, or forceps delivery).
